I have begun the process of inquiring about a ritual change into the UGCC and am awaiting the pastor of the parish to contact me and let me know if this is plausible. I have tried to contact him via phone and e-mail over the past week and still have no response. Please pray that I may find out soon.

Like the widow in the parable, be persistant. Courteous,
of course, but very, very persistant.

I sent off another e-mail, two days ago and am now starting to worry a bit more. I know that he must be very busy and have many things on his plate to take care of but it's been two weeks now and all our previous dialog only took about a week to be responded to.

Hi:

Have you tried calling him? Sometimes one can be swamped by so much e-mail that one can miss things. Also, e-mail can be rather impersonal. I think you might ought to arrange a meeting with him.

I've had a meeting in person once before, it was very brief and somewhat impromptu as he had a few other things come up. He told me to e-mail him or call him if I had any further questions. I sent off a couple e-mails on finding transportation to the church and he was helpful in that regard but I've not heard from him since. I'm not sure whether or not I should take this at face value and begin to look elsewhere or continue to be persistant etc.

I was finally able to speak with Father, and he gave me the go ahead. I've sent him a copy of the letter to get his opinion and permission for me to send it as it is but I've not heard from him yet. It's been another week and a half. I know that he must be busy so if all can pray that Father will look at his e-mail, maybe I'll get a response sooner than I thought.
