"Renovation" is not the word you are looking for. The sense of that word is " to repair something to make it look like new". This has nothing to do with what happens at Liturgy.
Neither is there any word in common use to fit the reality, since there is in natural life nothing like it. It is unique.
The Liturgy is re-presentation (not a representation) of the Sacrifice of Calvary. That sacrifice, which is eternally present to the Father, is made really present to us in time at the altar.

Thanks, Edmac, for your answer! In Portuguese we use "renovação" and, according to this dictionary - http://www.thefreedictionary.com/renovation - "renovation" can also be used in English with the same sense. Maybe other word more familiar would be "renewal".
