An encyclopedic chronology by Osyp Zinkewych and Andrew Sorokowski. I just got this book today, and it's hard to put down, because it's so crammed with information and dates.

Is this book you are talking about.

Osyp Zinkewych and Andrew Sorokowski, ed., A Thousand Years of Christianity in Ukraine (New York: Smoloskyp Pub., 1988).

The 2 men are compilers and editors not the authors.

Thanks. I might be able to take it out from a community library since you have been kind enough to mention it. I am going to check on Sunday.

Is it a collection of essays or a time line?

Is it readable (user friendly)?

It's a time line packed with information. Lists of bishops, building of churches, photos etc. You'll have a hard time putting it down.

It's like the Baseball Encyclopedia except instead of batting averages, you get names of Patriarchs, Bishops, church building dates etc.
