This reminds me of something that might be better suited to its own thread...
Has using real names exclusively ever been pondered/voted on/discussed? Byz TX, Not to carry the thread further away (or continue on that path) from the topic but, as Father Anthony has said, it is impossible to enforce and has another detrimental aspect as well. A significant number of folks here (in comparison to any other fora with which I'm familiar) use their real names either as nicks or in signing their posts. There are, however, some who hold real-life positions that would be compromised or threatened were their expressed opinions attributable to them. Many years, Neil (pleased that he holds no position that would require him to remember another name, as the PINs and passwords that already complicate his life are enough of a challenge)
