Taken From Catholic World News Website This is a serious problem. I pulled this off of the Catholic World News website. I can't believe what I just read. Dn. Robert

Keep in mind that we are talking here about "AMChurch", as some commentators refer to it. The Roman Catholic Church in the U.S. has an orthodox element, and what I would consider to be an apostate element (and I don't think the latter really belong to the Church). The latter element is in communion with the universal Church in name only. There has been some talk , by dissidents, of a break with Rome, allowing for the creation of a church which ordains women and blesses same sex marriages. I wish that, if they have no intent to conform themselves to the truth, that they would go that route, already. As one old priest said to me once, "at least Luther had the decency to leave".
Dn. Robert

I can recall a story from Alice von Hildebrandt about her husband, the philosopher, Dietrich.
Dietrich was convinced that he wanted to become a Catholic, so he approached a local priest and expresed his desire to enter. the priest asked him, "Do you accept all of the teachings of the Catholic faith?" Dietrich, who was honest, admitted that he did not believe the teaching about artifical contraception. The priest told him that until he embraced the full teaching of Catholicism - including matters pertaining to morals, the priest could not in good conscience receive him as a Catholic. Dietrich was crushed, but set about the process of learning the reasons for the teaching of the Catholic Church in this matter and became convinced of the truth of it. he approached the priest and was received.
This was evidently a definitive moment in the life and Catholic discipleship of Dietrich von Hildebrandt who became something of a prophetic voice both in Hitler's Germany and beyond.
If the pastor in Fort Worth knew about his lack of full repentance (which Holy Baptism both effects and seals) he is guilty of negligence and will have to give an account for the man's eternal soul.
As one priest told me in confession many years ago, "Every personal encounter is an eternal responsibility."

It’s not surprising that the Catholic Church attracts so many gay men; it’s more shocking that the whole institution isn’t pinker than a Euless trailer park flamingo. But Catholic attitudes are never easy to predict. Spain, one of the most Catholic countries on the planet, has also become one of the handful to legalize gay marriage. Heavily Catholic Massachusetts was the first U.S. state to approve homo nuptials. Some think Ireland will soon join the list. It’s just one of those cool Catholic paradoxes. ?????????

Rilian, Do you have a hard time believing those quotes? You might want to read: Goodbye, Good Men

I will look at the book. I always knew there was an issue with this, but I guess I didn't realize the extent. Provided those quotes and what is behind them are true.
I wonder how widespread this is. The closest Eastern Catholic Church to me, St. Michael's in Mont Clare, PA, I was told by someone had some problems not too long ago and now has an interim priest.
