I'm leaving the U.S. tomorrow to participate in a month-long discernment program at the Monastery of St. Benedict in Norcia, Italy. I am excited (and a little nervous!), and I appreciate any prayers you might offer. I have been wrestling with the possibility of a monastic vocation for five years; I am trying to face this experience with an open heart, and to go wherever God calls. Thank you for your prayers and support.

In Him,

Chris

Go with God!
Stay with God!
Whatever your decision, may you find peace in Christ.
Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Chris.

Chris, I am pleased to pray that you receive the gift of discerning about this. And may you find this a very significant time in the crossroads of your life. Sure sounds like you are going about this quite rightly.

God be with you whatever you decide!

Your sister in Christ,

Porter
