ALICE:
Christ is in our midst!!
I firmly believe that everything comes to us--even things that we think of as "bad"--to turn us time and time again toward our God Who allows us to experience them so that we can open ourselves in humility to Him for help.
In the prayer I've written for the beginning of my evening prayer rule--followed by the other prayers in the prayerbook--two sentences read:
I thank You for all the good things You have poured out so abundantly on me, Your sinful, slothful, and unworthy servant. I thank You for the gift of life, for every breath and every heartbeat, for every talent and every blessing, for every set of tears, every setback, every frustration, every humiliation, and every limitation--for all the things that have turned me time and time again to You.
In Christ,
BOB

I believe that all humanity suffers from the consequence of sin. In Israel there were the faithful to God and His comandments, yet all Israel Believers and unBelievers were caught up in Gods righteous judgements. In the 1st century when Jerusalem was destroyed and my people were dispersed because the leadership and many of my people rejected Messiah fulfilling the final judgement of the Mosaic law Deuteronomy 26:63-68, again both Believers and UnBelievers in Messiah suffered.
I agree that God allows suffering to bring people to Himself, but also people suffer because they make bad choices in their lives. Young women who run to be with young men who are immature and unworthy find themselves in situations that are less than ideal, God did not force them to make that choice. But with the Lord there is always a new begining, He is always ready to forgive. As mans history moves closer to the time of the Tribulation there will be more trouble, For Believers that should underscore the absolute nessecity to mainain a great relationship with Yeshua- Jesus.

Dear Chana, Welcome to the forum! We are honored to have a Messianic Jew among us. Your post makes some excellent points. How wonderful it must feel for you to know that the Messiah, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, shared a common ethnic and cultural ancestry with you! In Christ, Alice,

Good Morning Alice :)
Thank You for your warm welcome :)
I have known the Lord most of my life, to know that I am part of the Remnant of Israel is very humbling. I am so thankful to Yeshua for taking my place of judgement before our Father.
My heart aches for my people because when God blinds someone they are blind indeed Romans Ch 9-11. I would appreciate everyones prayers for Israel.
I love the Word of God the Scriptures are supreme in my life, And I love to share the things I have learned. I rejoice that all who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved, Making us Brothers and Sisters in Messiah :)
Blessings Chana
