I am looking something that does not have the really archaic language. Something easy for the folks to understand when I proclaim.

Any suggestions?

New King James English would be great.

Father Deacon ,

I have a feeling you will not find what you want frown

I read both Epistle and Gospel each Sunday in English in a Ukrainian speaking Parish and have been driven to printing off the readings for each week , which is a LOT of work , but it has to be done .

I do use the New King James as I find it's better than most other translations and on the occasions when I have had to use the NAB translation because things have been altered at the last moment [ or I have slipped up smile ] even the parishioners have commented that they prefer the translation I normally use smile

Holoviak's sells a "Slavonic style" Gospel Book in the NKJV. It is not a lectionary, per se, since it includes the entire text of the Four Gospels with notes when the readings begin and end.

Also, there was a nice large print NKJV Gospel Book prepared by the "Life in Jesus Community" of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. It was the full text of the Gospels in large print (maybe 18 pt), two columns, hardbound. Their website seems to have disappeared, though.

Hrm... I decided to go with the Antiochian Lectionary. It is the standard translation which is pretty good.

The fact that it is put out by a canonical Orthodox Jurisdiction is of course an added bonus. It is not Slavic usage, but it is the next best thing...
