Probably not. It is an English language translation and redaction issue.

The RDL, or Ruthenian Divine Liturgy, more properly, the 2006 edition of the English Language Translation of the Divine Liturgies of Sts. John Chrysostom and Basil the Great, is the edition of the DL promulgated for the American Metropolia of the Ruthenian Catholic Church.

It's effect on you in the middle east is merely as a case of "how far before Rome growls at you in your liturgical praxis changes."
