Has anyone purchased the Inter Varsity Press new Commentary or the Creed?
I ordered volume #5 We believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. The advertisement was interesting.

I had signed up for the series and have the volume on the Creed. It's OK but I discontinued it.

I do highly recommend the Ancient Christian Commentary series on the Scriptures. I use it almost daily in my readings.

That begs the question why did you discontinue it?
Was it lacking or erroneous?

It is a useful series, but it has its limitations if you seek to obtain more than a broad familiarity with the teachings of the Fathers. I find it very useful for scripture studies, but would rather read works in their entirety for more serious study.

I discontinued mine because of funding, but I have nearly the complete set.
