Anyone who has heard Fr. George speak knows he is both engaging and learned in his use of the church fathers. In this brief 75 page book, he manages to capture the essence of patristic thought on theosis/deification and organize the material in a very approachable way.

The book walks us through the essential problem of sin and the fall with the profound impact this has on human nature. And explains why deification is the answer that the fathers see as the solution for the human condition.

This is an excellent introductory text on the topic.
