The BBC reports that some scientists see frankincense as a possible cancer treatment.

Quote:
... immunologist Mahmoud Suhail is hoping to open a new chapter in the history of frankincense.

Scientists have observed that there is some agent within frankincense which stops cancer spreading, and which induces cancerous cells to close themselves down. He is trying to find out what this is.

"Cancer starts when the DNA code within the cell's nucleus becomes corrupted," he says. "It seems frankincense has a re-set function. It can tell the cell what the right DNA code should be.

WOW...I know this isn't a prayer thread, but this and another article I just read on a possible new cure which may be available in two years prompt me to pray that our Lord will grant us this great gift. Amen.

Well, the ways of science, as we all know, will find another path in a few years to prove him wrong!

Just a couple of a years ago I read an article stating that churches (specially old churches) are a real health risk due to the high levels of 'air pollution' ...

I still believe that faith is the cure of everything, and that sometimes we just need to accept "death"...

I know there is an onogcologist that sends his patients to a near by health food store for some type of herb that the native americans here use. It is only made one place in Alabama. I hear he is having great success at healing cancer with it.

Actually, I heard the opposite, that is that the frankincense smoke increases the risk of cancer. Oh, science.
