Our family's friend Charles H. is to undergo cataract surgery on Monday, May 24. With restored vision he hopes to recalim his life, which over the past 5 years has been characterized by one severe loss & disappointment after another (just this week he had to have his beloved cat euthanized). Thank you all for praying for his well-being and recovery.

Prayer that the Lord will grant healing to Charles--may St. Paraskevi intercede for this eye operation. Amen.
My prayers also go out to the Lord that this man, and all those faithful Christians who suffer seemingly endless disappointments, will be granted a period of refreshing relief and peace. Amen. Amen. Amen.

God's loving Providence has determined Charles' eye surgery will have to take place on a later date: many of the clinic workers could not make it to work today, so the surgery had to be cancelled for now...we are grateful for everyone's prayers for him & request they continue.
