Hello all.
I thought you might be interested in the following item:

http://www.agencia.ecclesia.pt/cgi-bin/noticia.pl?tpl=&id=80550

For those who don't speak Portuguese, it says that a new russian icon of Our Lady of Fátima will be "enthroned" [is this the correct term in English?] in the small chapel of the apparitions, during the July pilgrimage, taking place today and tomorrow.

You can see the image for yourselves.

According to the article, Our Lady has the word "heart" surrounded by a crown of thorns, inscribed on her chest.
The other writing says: "Divine motherhood of Mary" and "Icon of the most holy virgin of Fátima. In you there is unity", or something to that effect.

The article says it was written according to the traditional russian techniques, but there is no info on the author.

God bless!
Filipe

Nice icon, but I still prefer the original Russian icon of Our Lady of Fatima that was based on the icon of Our Lady, Joy of All Who Sorrow.
Copies are found in the Byzantine Chapel of the Dormition in Fatima and Our Lady of Fatima Russian Byzantine Catholic Chapel in San Francisco: http://www.byzcath.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showpic&id=837
