Also commemorated in Orthodoxy today, along with the prophet Elijah, is Mother Maria AKA St. Marie of Paris, together with her companions. A very unusual, highly unconventional example of modern-day monasticism and martyrdom.

Mother Maria was a Bolshevik in the early 20th century.

She saw a lot of heartbreaks on her way home to the Lord.

Perhaps she will be a patron for the conversion those who have taken up anti-life ideologies.
