Just wondering if we have any hockey fans on the board? If you are what's your favorite team or player?

My favorite NHL team is the Detroit Red Wings because I grew up in Detroit and came from a hockeytown family. My favorite player is Sidney Crosbey of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I also enjoy watching minor league hockey and the AHL.

Peace

Growing up in Toledo, I started listening to Detroit Red Wing games in the early 1960's. I'm old enough to have seen Gordie Howe play at the old Olympia Stadium in Detroit and he would still be my favorite player.

Bought myself a Max Talbot Jersey for Christmas!
Looking forward to watching the Winter Classic from the warmth and comfort of my sister's living room.
Here's to a happy and healthy new year to all.

I love the Winter Classic. Every team in the NHL should do one outdoor game a year. Also, someone should compile a list of Ukrainian Catholics who have played in the NHL.

I grew up in Pittsburgh. Now live in NY. Two years ago we went to see the Rangers - Pens in the afternoon and the AFC title game that evening. That morning we showed up for Mass as the priest was unlocking the door. Underneath his coat he had on a Steelers jersey. He replaced it with proper vestments for Mass.

I tried to get tickets for the Winter Classic, but too much $$ for me.

Pittsburgh Penguins are my favorite. Geno Malkin is my favortie player. Hopefully the Winter Classic will go on as scheduled. They are talking about moving the time of the game as the forecast for the 1st is 40 to 50 degrees with rain.
