“Feed your Flock” Superbowl Ad

The Pepsi Company is hosting an advertisement contest. The winner of the advertisement contest will air during the Superbowl. Apparently the current front-running commercial is titled “Feed Your Flock,” and it exploits and mocks the practice of receiving Holy Communion. The video can be seen HERE on Facebook, or HERE on the Pepsi website. The video is borderline (if not completely) blasphemous and Catholic Christians everywhere should write to Pepsi to prevent this ad from getting on to the air. The video should not air because it exploits Christ, mocks His Church and His community in the Church, and it will perpetuate harmful misunderstandings of Christian belief. Please watch the video and let me know what you think.

Thinking about it though, it doesn't look totally Catholic, more Protestant in their thinking.

It does look more Protestant than Catholic. Things like this are too silly to take seriously.

I think it clearly is meant to depict Christians commemorating the Lords' Supper. It doesn't matter to me that it's not Holy Eucharist. I find it deeply offensive (I have a good sense of humor and am happy to "laugh at ourselves" in the right situation).

Does anyone think Pepsi would dream of showing the Muslim clergy and faithful is a similar "parody"?

Thank you to all the people who contacted Pepsi...It appears that it may have heightened their sensitivity to this sacrilege.

BTW, it defiinitely gave me the opinion that this was a parody of the Roman Catholic Church. To "LiketheThief" I compared it to blasphemy of the Muslim faith.
