His Beatitude Mar Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil, CSsR, Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly and chief primate of the Syro-Malabarese Church sui iuris, has reposed in the Lord.

May the memory of the Lord's servant, His Beatitude Mar Varkey, be eternal and may our brothers and sisters of the Syro-Malabar Church be comforted in the loss of their spiritual father. Prayers also for the Holy Synod of the Malabarese as its members prepare to elect a successor to their Major Archbishop.

May he rest in peace!

Amado

Btw, I think all the other bishops are in Rome for their ad limina visit.

Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine,

Requiescat in pace. Amen.
