Video excerpts of Patriarch Kirill celebrating the Rite of Foot Washing during the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great on Maundy Thursday at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow.

what is it called, the headress Bishops wear, but not the crown, the black long-draped one? Is it for monastics, which is why some wear it during liturgical services and not the crown?

Thank you for posting this.

What was the exchange that went on between the MP, the final cleric whose feet he washed and the deacon?

Klobuk: a combination in the Slavic Churches of a cylindrical hat and attached veil. It is part of the habit for the Lesser Schema. You can see pictures on istok.com where they can be purchased. As to why some wear it and some don't during liturgical services, that I leave to our Orthodox and Eastern Catholic brethren to answer.

I believe it was the Gospel pericope in which St. Peter asks Christ not to wash his feet.
