I had hoped to hear some good news this week...or something hopeful. I have to say, I was most hurt that my prayers seem unheard. Anyway, I give love to you all, and will keep you posted as I try to find a job. I have so much to give, and that is a gift...to be able to earn a living giving. I really hope and pray that something comes through soon. I have been away from practice as I explained and I only have a few months before I will lose my board certification for not having an active practice.
I do not understand why God is not using me in this way that seems to make so much sense.
I remain confused and hurt, but trying to keep the faith,
Sharon

Dear Sharon,

I am sure that many here (including myself) will say that they have been through the same disappointment, hurt and confusion you are feeling when they needed a speedy answer to their prayer.

One thing I have personally learned over the years is that our time is not God's time, and as hard as it is to do, in the faith journey of a Christian, one needs to cultivate the virtue of patience.

We also need to cultivate our prayer lives, so that each and every day, which often leads to months, and even years, we are growing more in faith and trust in God's love for us, and our complete dependence on Him for all our worldly needs.

Persistence in prayer over time, and patience, brings many blessings to our soul, especially that of a humble heart and soul, which the Psalms tell us will touch God and that He will not turn away from us when we turn to Him in this manner

Ofcourse, in the meantime, while we may feel that we are desperate and be questioning God's will for us and if He is really listening--there does come a time when we will look back and realize that He did take care of us through the particular situation, even if it wasn't in the way we thought or wanted it to be.

I am remembering you in my prayers, Sharon. Trust in God. When the time is right, your prayers will be answered. Keep on praying and don't give up hope. Use the Lenten period upon us to attend more services available to us, to fast (there is also great power in fasting and praying for an intention) and to get closer to Christ and the beautiful faith handed down to us. smile

With love in Christ,
Alice

Dear fellow Christians,
I am despairing. Still no news on the job front, my father is sick we are awaiting test results, and now my sister is sick. My prayer life is weak, I am very discouraged. Please pray for me. Thank you and God Bless you

I pray for you Sharon. You are obviously under many great stresses and worries. May the hope and light of our Risen Christ keep you strong and keep you going.
Remember the story of St. Job in the Old Testament. Don't worry, God knows just how much each person can handle.
Try to be patient, and as someone very close to me and very devout once was enlightened by God their heart during prayer in their own time of great trial: take each day as it is and don't worry about the next...day by day....

We love you, but more importantly God loves you. May His holy Mother keep you and your loved ones under her precious mantle of protection and care. Amen.

Christ is Risen!
Alice

Prayers for the spiritual and temporal needs of our sister, Sharon, and her family
