Maia Aprahamian, composer, friend and faithful servant passed has reposed in the Lord yesterday morning at 4:00 am.

Her compositions were among those sung at "Never Setting Light" Concert last year. We sang her "Gladsome Light" last night.

I've stood in prayer next to her for most festal vespers and vigils the past 3 years. On the infrequent occasions when I was in her temple for a Divine Liturgy Maia would return to her seat after Eucharist with antidoran for this Greek Catholic.

May her memory be eternal!

Nice photo of Maia with Fr. Martin at the Monastery of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco, and another here. Her burial will be at the Monastery.

A slideshow with Maia's "Joyous Light" audio in the background. Anyone who has been to a PSALM workshop will remember Maia and her compositions.
