I'd love to see and venerate it. Somehow I am more likely to place credence in myrrh-streaming icons than in statues of Mary which allegedly cry regular tears; and sometimes, tears of blood. Good heavens - how repellant.
Years ago someone I knew in Germany, out of a clear blue sky, sent me a large "Maria, Rosa Mystica" statue. It's a devotion associated with the unapproved apparitions of Our Lady at Montichiari-Fontanelle, italy. For several days after it arrived, I'd check on it from time to time to see if it had started cuttin' up. But no, not nary a single tear...thank goodness.
I did once go to Blanco, Tx. to see the allegedly myrrh-streaming icon of the Theotokos there - I was unsure what to think of the whole situation, so I quietly dropped it. Which turned out to have been a good instinct.
