Dear Forum Members,
Praised be Jesus Christ!
Does anyone know if any CD has been made/is available for learning the RUSSIAN Tones/singing of the Liturgy, etc...? I found at "Light & Life" that the Greeks produced something like this, but is there anything for the Russian Tradition anywhere?

Thank You!

I don't know about a CD, but HERE are MP3's that you can download. It is in Slavonic.
In Christ,

Also, here on the OCA website, go to the "Music Downloads" section:

http://oca.org/MDmusic.asp

Under the heading "Services of the Weekly Cycle (Oktoechos)" there is a page for each tone. Each page has a recording and pdf of "Lord I Call..." for vespers, + the Dogmaticon

oktoik ... i think is the slavonic word for Oktoechos

I have noticed that oktoechos vary greatly from Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic churches

I learned the Slavonic 8 tones from a Serbian source and now am practicing the Byzantine Ruthenian oktoechos and find a big difference

Correct me if I'm wrong

For English settings of znamenny or obikhod, it is very difficult to find better than the St. Vladimir's/St. Tikhon's settings of Drillock, Bailey, Heckman, et al.. This thread may be better placed in "The Kliros" section.
