Dear Forum Members,
Praised be Jesus Christ!

Does anyone know where I could find a CD of Coptic Chant that includes on it the use of the cymbals & triangles during the service? To me, they fit so beautifully in the Coptic style of chanting! I have found other Coptic chant CD's, but none that I have found use the cymbals during the recordings.

I would like to find a recording of something like the chant on this link:

I have always wondered what this particular service is, if it is Matins, Vespers, or something else, on the link-I would love to find a CD recording of it!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is most likely the Morning or Evening Raising of Incense, which roughly corresponds to Orthros and Vespers. There are many, many CDs of Coptic music available. I will ask around and see if I can find something to recommend to you.

This is a link to St Anthony Monastery near Barstow CA. There is a shop also at the monastery.
