Hello,

I am a returning member to the forum, I was on a couple years ago and have decided to come back. I am a Latin Rite Catholic but I have a love for and appreciation for the East. I am curious to know what the status of getting a new Metropolitan is for the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh? I am sure this has probably been discussed here before, but have been unable to find a thread, admittedly I have only given a cursory search. I hope all are well here and look forward to participating in conversations and meeting new people.

Welcome back, Isidore.

There is indeed a thread somewhere - and if I can find it, I'll merge this to it. The short answer is that the status is status quo. No action as yet and no rumors of which I'm aware.

The same is true as regards the status of the Metropolitan See of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of Johnstown.

May the memories of Archbishop Basil and Metropolitan Nicholas be eternal!

Many years,

Neil
