I was discussing with the internet provider that hosts byzcath some of the time out issues we've been having. Sometime tonight we will be migrating to a new server. It's more expensive, but appears to be worth it. Please note that the site will go down at some point for an hour or so, maybe longer.

Thanks for your patience.

I don't know if this is related to the server issue, but a few days ago Byzcath became a jumbled mess with Internet Explorer. I'm running IE 9. Mozilla seems to be ok but both have a problem in the photo gallery. Only one picture can be clicked on and enlarged. The rest don't respond.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. What is going on here? All the boxes separating the replies are missing.

Don't know anything about the browser issue. That will be looked at another day.

The issue being investigated is an SQL error:

SQL Error: User byzcatho_admin already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections
SQL Error #: 1203
Query: Unable to connect to the database!

Initial feedback from the software developer is that my.inc ( mysql tuning parameters ) is not optimized (stuck at the default install level). If it can be optimized I'll go that route. If not, we may have to move servers.

Stay tuned, and don't fear if the site goes down for a bit.

For what its worth, I've experienced the same problem with IE9. I'm now using the Google Chrome browser to access the forum, with no issues.

I've gotten that message a number of times (on Firefox). I like thinking that a lot of people are online; I just wait my turn, come back in 10 minutes, and all is well.
