Eternal Memory to those who perished as they worshiped the newborn Christ Child by the hands of infidels who value no life, and in fact value nothing at all but for their twisted hatred of all of those who are 'not like them.'

May the Virgin Mary intercede on their behalf and carry these new Christian Martyrs to a place of Glory in God's heavenly Kingdom. May the newborn Savior protect the Christians of Nigeria during these difficult days and may all of us set aside our sectarian differences for the moment and contemplate those things which, in the end, are truly important. http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/chri...ry.html?hpid=z2

Amen!

May their memories be eternal!

Holy martyrs of Nigeria pray for peace through Christ, that man may turn from self to the only true love in the world Jesus Christ.

Bombs exploded outside 3 churches

The deaths occurred at a Catholic church, what sounds to be a Protestant evangelical church, and a third church, not further identified. As well, there were others killed by bombs and gunfire elsewhere in the country. Prayers for all and may the memory of those killed be eternal.

As we celebrate the bursting forth of the seed of the Word made Flesh we cannot escape the ancient wisdom that "the blood of the Martyrs is the seed of the Church"....a truth reinforced today in the Western calendar with the celebration of St. Stephen the Protomartyr.

The Christmas miracle is that, at long last, the Associated Press and other maintream media have been able to identify this Enemy by its rightful name. The continuing violence (a church detroyed today in Ethiopia) is being properly described as being perpetrated by Muslims.
