I have been reading articles around the web on a variety of current events, and I keep on coming across the word 'homophobic' for anyone who does not agree with the gay agenda.

I think it is a term used with the clever idea that 'the best defense is a quick offense'...Call people 'homophobes', shame them by labeling them this way, and they won't argue with you. The word is thrown around at people like 'bigot' was a few decades ago. However, there is a very big difference. One denotes a preference for a sexual lifestyle, and the other has to do with the color of a person's skin.

The silly thing about this word is that for me, I get an image of someone paralyzed with fear and shaking in their boots at the sight or mention of a homosexual!! I think it is a ridiculous word, but one which is propelling and imposing the gay 'agenda' on a whole society.

In an article on one of the political candidates, the author wrote that 2/3 of Catholics approve of gay marriage/civil union--more so than any other group. Is that true? The Pope just spoke against the acceptance of gay marriage, didn't he?

I agree, Alice.

This might seem very political, but if you study history since the 1970's the Democrat Party (not necessary average Democrats), pro-abortionists, homosexuals and the entertainment industry have had a very successful partnership, starting with no-fault divorce.

They have effectively changed American society. It has penetrated the Church with the teaching that regular Confession isn't necessary. The people think that anything which doesn't physically harm a person or property is acceptable. The old teaching that ANY sin harms God's human creatures or Creation has been thrown out.

As a result of this trend we have destroyed and broken families, and broken people. At long as it wasn't done violently it is acceptable and we look for government to repair it.

There is a current news story that the Greek government has given disability status (and payment) to pedophiles. Are we eventually going that way here in the USA? Its a sickness, you know, comparing it to being bi-polar. click here

Ignore it. It has no meaning beyond "someone whose politics or morality I dislike". Abuse has rendered it null, like, e.g., fascist, racist and sexist. People of a certain political persuasion use it as a substitute for rational thought and substantive argumentation.

Most people are, in fact, heterophobic, and afraid of the different.

Also, there is e ongoing problem with "homophopicphobia"--the fear of being allied homophobic, causing onto be silent about his beliefs and convictions.

"Homophobic" is thrown about almost as casually as "anti-Semite" when criticising Israel or "racist" when questioning most anything on the left. When in a political discussion, you can usually tell if you are correct by how often you are painted with one of these terms.
