Please pray for my old friend Mark Garrow, who is undergoing surgery for colon cancer. He and I were students together at the Univ. of Dallas during the '70s. He is Melkite and at one time studied for the priesthood in that Church.
Thank you.

May our Lord God be with Mark, and through the intercessions of St. Nektarios the Wonderworker and Patron of Cancer and illness, let the cancer be completely and totally cured. Amen.

Lord have mercy! Lord have mercy! Lord have mercy on Mark! Amen.

Gospodi pomilui! Gospodi pomilui! Gospodi pomilui!

May our Lord God be with His servant Mark, and those caring for him.

We also got this message at Our Lady of Fatima this morning. Although Melkite, Mark has been active at Our Lady of Fatima Russian Greek Catholic Church at various times, including recently, as well as with Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church parish here. Mark was with us at OLF on Sunday preparing to move this week to NYC where he'd secured a new job.

I had an email from Mark tonight. He says "I am now in recovery from an operation to remove colon cancer. I am still pretty weak. All of this came like a bolt out of the blue.

Fr. Petro gave me the sacrament of annointing after the liturgy last Sunday so he now understands what I have gone through.

Thanks for your prayers."

May the Lord give him strength and healing.
May the Lord bless Fr. Petro in his ministry.

Another email..

Quote:
I have a lot of emmotional, financial and medical issues on my plate I have to deal with this week.

I'm still trying to get an appointment for SDI and a Pet-scan. The Pet-scan is a necessary medical proceedure to see if any of the cancer spread from outside the colon to one of the vital organs. There is a very good chance that it is all gone but the Pet-scan is one way to make sure of that. I still have a very sore abdomen but it is getting less sore every day. Please continue to keep me in your prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers.
