This link may have been posted before and I'm sorry if I'm repeating. However, my wife alerted me to this most extraordinary video and I commend it to all. It left me speechless.

It was extraordinary! Thanks to your wife for this, Utroque.

Many years,

Neil

I highly urge that anyone who hasn't watched this do so. I was a bit surprised at the outset by the time lapse videography of the set-up - it was incredibly intriguing in itself, but I rather suspected that there was more to come, as I couldn't imagine that to have been the sole reason the video was brought to our attention.

As it progressed, through the veneration of the icon by the masses of people - both lay and clerical, I was struck by the devotion. But, as edifying as that was, I think the thing that struck me most were the photos of individuals of all ages viewing the multimedia exhibitions that followed. You could both see and feel their pain and tears as they watched film showing the destruction of temples, the concerted and yet ultimately unsuccessful governmental effort to destroy their Church and their faith by the toppling of domes and crosses.

I've said before and will say again, there are few videos through which I will sit without moving. This was one of those few. As was the case with my brother, Utroque, I too was left speechless. May the faith of my Russian brothers and sisters be preserved for all the ages.

Many years,

Neil
