Today the election was announced in Bkerke and the Vatican of three new Maronite Bishops: - Chorbishop Michel Aoun, 52, as Bishop of Jbeil (Lebanon)
- Fr. Elias Slaiman, 60, as Bishop of Latakia (Syria)
- Chorbishop Mounir Khairallah, 59, as Bishop of Batroun (Lebanon)
