Today the election was announced in Bkerke and the Vatican of three new Maronite Bishops:
  • Chorbishop Michel Aoun, 52, as Bishop of Jbeil (Lebanon)
  • Fr. Elias Slaiman, 60, as Bishop of Latakia (Syria)
  • Chorbishop Mounir Khairallah, 59, as Bishop of Batroun (Lebanon)

On January 7, the Holy Father received Cardinal Sandri in a private audience, this must have been the topic of the meeting. And so Pittsburgh continues to wait...
