On my study of the COptic liturgy, I have a few new questions.

I understand that the Coptic Orthodox practice for a SUnday is to celebrate the offering of incense, then some hours of the agpeya with the psalms said silently prior to the liturgy.

Is this replicated in Coptic Catholic parishes, or is the liturgy celebrated alone (similar to the omission of matins in some greek-use parishes of the melkites)?

Also when the liturgy is celebrated, are there any cuts that COptic Catholics do to shorten it such as omission of some readings or prayers?

In anticipation

hmm, Edward, I'm not certain but you might find us wanting on this score insofar as definitive answers, unless Mardukm stops by, which he hasn't in a while.

To the best of my recollection, we presently have no other active posters who are Coptic Catholic, though I think one of our newer members, Yehonathan, mentioned that he has attended the Divine Liturgy at Resurrection Coptic Chapel in NYC - so he may be able to offer some insights.

Many years,

Neil
