Thanks for the nice article!

I wish it could be this simple.

Change of rite is impossible in some cases, because of lack of leadership in a certain Eastern Catholic Eparchy.

It might be much simpler to convert to Orthodoxy.....

It is certainly easier to become Orthodox

Preoteasa,

Very, very well said!

Many years,

Neil (Btw, that's a beautiful photo, taken at St Mary's, if I'm not mistaken. You wouldn't, by chance, have another of just the iconostasis? Not that I don't think the clergy aren't photogenic biggrin , but I'd love to find a more close-up photo of the iconostasis than the one I currently use on the mission's directory entry.)

I think she hit the nail on the head with the word “honorable”. Ultimately it's an honor system: there are some married EC priests who were once Roman-rite (I know one of them personally) but this isn't meant to be a way to circumvent the Latin Church's prohibition on married clergy.

Is there a link to what Fr. Maximos said concerning vocations? I have the impression I once read something about it, but do not see any thing about it on their monastery website.
