Giving thanks to God, we are recalling these days Fr. Edward Mathias Robinson, O.P., who reposed on March 29, 2012 at the venerable age of 97.
He served the Church as a Dominican friar since 1935 and in the Holy Priesthood since 1941.
Fr. Matt - we also called him Fr. Robinson - wisely and with great love and dedication led pro-life efforts in the R.C. Diocese of Dallas for 38 years. He likewise taught biology at Bishop Lynch High School and at Cistercian Preparatory School, both in the Dallas area. He served as confessor and spiritual director for many students, professors and alumni of the University of Dallas.

Funeral Mass is scheduled to be offered on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation on the campus of the University of Dallas, in Irving, TX.; interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.

May his memory be eternal. If you never knew or met him, you missed interacting with yet another true man of God and a devoted, faithful son of the Church, the teachings of which he proclaimed without hesitation - and with love and tenderness - to a society smothering in the poisonous miasmas of moral relativism and violence.

May the memory of the Lord's servant, the Priest Edward Mathias, be eternal!
