Beautiful!

I was especially taken by the photo of the children standing watch at the tomb since its pedestal is eight-sided, a design found in most Lutheran Baptismal Fonts.

The connection to Romans 6:1-4 is striking.

We--like all those of the Great Tradition--do not reBaptize. Having participated in the Holy Saturday veneration of the tomb I am convinced that this is the closest that we can ever come to renewing that mystery of dying and rising with Christ.

I love Windber's icon screen. I had only seen cutout icons like that in Barnesboro when I was a boy.

These are great! Thanks for posting them. I was happy to see Fr. Joseph Fester is now serving in an ACROD parish - I got to know him while he was serving @ St. Seraphim OCA Cathedral in Dallas.

Wonderful array of photos! Thanks very much for the link, David.

In addition to all of the lovely temples, the striking cut-out iconostasis about which Deacon Lance commented, the great photos of the children (loved the couple of young ladies with straw hats such as you'd have once upon a time seen on every little girl's head at Easter), and the newly received faithful, it was especially nice to see a couple photos of our dear friend and brother, Father David/Chtec, and a Pantocrator icon painted by his Dad, our own Ray Mastroberte/70x7.

Many years,

Neil

It looks just like our side of the fence, which makes me wonder why we have a fence at all.

Walls and fences have been torn down before - let us pray!

I think that many will be surprised on the Day of Judgment. Our earthly jugdments and divisions are not likely to be accepted by 'faith' (pun intended). However, that's just mine own pov.
