Joy,

Thanks for posting this and for the link to Smithtown's new website. Father Jack has done a lot with it since I viewed it last!

Many years,

Neil

From Saint Michael's Cathedral, Passaic, NJ weekly bulletin today, May 6, 2012:

http://stmichaelsarchangel.org/

From The Office of our Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic. A notice was received from the Very Rev. Robert J. Hospodar, J.C.L. Chancellor of our Eparchy as follows: “On Monday, April 23, 2012 the College of Eparchial Consultors met and in accordance with the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, Very Rev. Edward G. Cimbala, D. Min., was elected Eparchial Administrator. Father Cimbala accepted his election that day. In his first Memorandum as Eparchial Administrator dated May 3 rd , Fr. Cimbala writes: “Please insert the following petition in the Litany after the Gospel. Let us all pray for the selection of our new Bishop: Loving Lord, look down with merciful eyes on your servants involved in the selection of our new eparchial bishop, bless their good intentions and their work, grant that they may favorably begin and complete their work for your glory, we pray, O Good Shepherd, hear us and have mercy.” Accordingly, this special petition will be prayed at each and every Divine Liturgy celebrated in our Cathedral Church and Chapel until the day that a new Bishop has been appointed for our Eparchy.
