On 6 May, during the celebration of the Day of the City in Lviv, a joint prayer was held with the participation of representatives of all the Churches of the city. The prayer was led by Patriarch Filaret.

Prayers were also said by priests of the Armenian Church, Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Roman Catholic Church, Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate. So reported the press-service of the Lviv City Council.

On the Day of the Patron Saint of Lviv, St. Yur (George), the Lvivers had an opportunity to attend a liturgy in the Cathedral of St. Yur led by Archbishop Ihor (Vozniak) and Bishop Venedykt (Aleksiichuk). So reported DailyLviv.

good stuff this; the represented diversity is encouraging, particularly with that of the moscow patriarchate. and official greets from yanukovych to our patriarch sviatoslav! Tschkavo - the times they be a-changin?' slava bohu for this!

"the lvivers"

whaaaa? can that be right? this plural effusion comes across as funny to me. not quite coffee squirting through the nose funny, but more like broca area parietal lobe sqeezing through the nose funny. makes me want to pun like a wildchild:

justin lviver (a stretch)
cirrhosis of the lviver (more so)
leave it to lviver (shoot me!)
