I wonder if any of you guys know where I can get "eight homilies against the Jews" by Chrysostom in Syriac language. It is obvious that he wrote it in Greek, but many of his works were translated into Syriac during and after his life. I am writing my thesis on Syriac and Russian Orthodox Churches. I would be very thankful to those who know Syriac and can find a book, so I could buy or a web site where I can read it in Syriac. Many thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum! I suspect that, when you have a bit of time, there are more than a few folks here who'd be pleased to hear some details about your thesis. There are several members who are of the various Churches are of the Syriac Rite and quite a number whose spiritual home is Russian Orthodox.

I found the manuscripts and I am looking for a person who can read the Syriac writings of the 9th century. The manuscript is old and it is difficult to read. I have a Facebook account and an email. It's only about 300 words that have to be translated. This is the only thing that British Library contains. I have been struggling with translation for 4 weeks already. Do you know anyone, who can at least rewrite half a page into modern Serto font? I've tried chatting with some Syrians in Syria but with all what's going on in Syria today, it is not the best time to ask them to help.

It would be awesome to find someone out here, who could help identify about 300 words on the manuscript. Translating is not that difficult, as it is to identify some words. The manuscript was written on the vellum and it's very old. If anyone can read Syriac and has about 30 minutes to help me out, I would be very thankful to them. :) I can send the manuscript page either by Facebook or by email, whichever is easier.
