Whoaa! I resent that--don't believe media misinformation!

I have spent considerable time there through the years, and it has been documented that Greeks work more hours than many of their European counterparts. The Greeks work hard, my friend, and they work long hours. I have seen it, and I know it as a fact--

Comparing my work ethic to Europeans' is like comparing my fidelity or diet to Bill Clinton's.

I don't know anything about the Greeks, really. I just would suggest a stronger example.

This telling everybody what to do isn't a part of the distributist program. I'm really sorry to be taking this side of the discussion when these guys on the same side keep saying all this stuff I wish they wouldn't.

It is if the people won't willingly follow it.

What were they examples of?

I will have to research that. Do you have any proof texts or links I can study?

Regarding the original topic: I do honor our spiritual leaders for their call to a simpler life dedicated to God. We must live this way in order to honor God.

However, man made global warming is false. Here is an article by the God father of the hypothesis. He dismisses the whole matter.

So much of the alarmist talk of global warming is psychological "terrorism." If the alarmist really believed in it, why aren't they lobbying for builiding restrictions on the East Coast?

Where I live (western Pennsylvania) if I really believed this was cause for alarm here is what I would suggest:

Plant stronger trees and stronger houses (because of violent storms)
Don't build by streams (100 year flood, you know)
Buy air conditioning instead of space heaters
Don't buy snowblowers and snow plows; invest in sprinkler systems and irrigation
Insist that the zone maps be revised with date of last spring frost
Plant heat resistant crops
Plant warmer weather crops; plant onions, cabbage, carrots, peas two to four weeks earilier
Air conditions the churches and schools

Until I start hearing of these recommenations I won't give credence to global warming.

If Al Gore really believed in it he would live in a small house with solar panels and send his message around through broadcasts rather than fly all over the country polluting the skies.
