DMD Member Registered: 05/01/09 Posts: 1251 Loc: Upstate New York	Please pray for those travelling to and attending the Divine Liturgy and Assembly of Priests this Saturday, July 14th at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Johnstown, PA. The purpose of the Assembly (Sobor) is to elect a candidate to succeed the late Metropolitan Nicholas of Ammisos as Ruling Bishop of the ACROD. Lord have mercy and may the Holy Spirit guide the selection of a worthy candidate.

O God, bless all those who will attend this assembly, as priests and as hopeful faithful, for this most important event and significant decision. Renew in the participating priests and religious the grace and gifts of the Holy Spirit, enlightening them as they prepare for and endeavor to make an inspired and worthy choice. We ask this through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and of all the saints, most especially St. Nicholas. Amen.

May the memory of Metropolitan Nicholas be eternal and thrice-blessed and may he look down on this Assembly and impart guidance and wisdom to it as he did to his Church during his mortal life. _________________________ "One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."
