Please remember in your prayers Susan Keefe, who has died this week. She taught Church History at the Divinity School at Duke University, I believe since 1988. She was one of my teachers during my five years at Duke. She was a great influence in my life, both intellectually and spiritually (she was among that small number of professors at a Protestant school of theology who helped guide me to the Catholic Church), and she was a friend.

Dear Ryan,

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend and mentor, Susan...

May our merciful Lord grant her eternal rest. Amen.

Eternal Memory. May the Lord also heal those afflicted by Susan's passing.

May the memory of the Lord's handmaiden, Susan, be eternal.
