I am trying to find a good history book on the history of Byzantine Christianity.

any recommendations? I don't wanna end up with some odd secular re-telling of the history.

Tons are out there. Start with Metropolitan Kallistos (Ware's) "The Orthodox Church". Work outwards from there.

That would be because it is not on amazon. You can buy the DVD's or CD's of the talk here: http://oltv.tv/id17.html

The DVDs is just Kallistos sitting in a chair but I find it to be good cause its nice and personal and feels more that way than just listening to the CD.
