For the second day of the Nativity of Christ on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, we invite the faithful to St. Gregory's Byzantine Catholic Church in Upper St. Clair (2005 Mohawk Rd, Upper St. Clair, 15241)for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in Church Slavonic. This Divine Liturgy will begin at 9:30 a.m. and we hope to welcome all those who wish to come, pray and hear this Liturgical language of our ancestors. Following the Divine Liturgy we will have in the Church hall a sing-along of our traditional Christmas Carols-kol'ady. We invite everybody to bring some cookies to share as we will continue to celebrate the Birth of Our Savior. For directions, please visit: www.stgregoryusc.org [stgregoryusc.org]

Oh, it's been a long, long time since I've been involved with a full Church Slavonic DL. Most have either gone all English, or bilingual between English and Slavonic here and there. It's nice that there are still those parishes that care to have the traditional Church Slavonic. Just wish that I wouldn't have to travel all that way up.
