He is pretty high functioning autistic, in spectrum disorder ( I'm sure I don't have that worded right, but you get the picture). He is only ten years old! A young family from our Church, a last name all the Melkites on here would recognize.
Anyway, last week at school he struck out at another student. So they moved him to a special padded room(?). so yesterday, he struck out at his teacher. So the principal called the sheriff. Now, they have him in the hospital for ten days. He is in an isolated room, they are going to take him off of all his medication, and try to figure out what's happening. So all he could take was a stuffed animal and a paper icon. He can only see his mom and dad between 3 & 5pm everyday. No one else!
His mom lost her job about a month ago. I guess that's a blessing, even though they need the money, she needs to be home.
The dad is trying to take care of his parents and brother. His dad and brother are disabled, so his mother is the caregiver for them. Several months ago, she had a heart attack, had surgery, got better, and was able to take care of them again. Then something else happened to her concerning her muscles, so she has been back in the hospital and he rehab. So Alex's dad has had to be with his dad and brother again.
Now, they are testing Alex's little brother, the middle child, because he will/does not communicate in school. Honestly the daughter, the youngest is a pretty active child too.
So Alex's whole life is turned upside down, his routine s all messed up. Not because the family can do anything to help the situation, their hands are huts full. The dads parents a good 35-40 miles away, so he can't get home easily. They are. Very active scouting family, which has helped both boys a lot. Very active in Church, and have great family support.
THEY NEED THE HEAVENS TO OPEN UP AND POUR DOWN VER ABUNDANCE OF GRACE, MERCY,HEALING, LOVE, GOD's Holy angels to assist them.
Oh Sweet Jesus Mercy!

Prayers for young Alex, that God give him peace. Prayers too for his family in this time of crisis, that all those suffering illness be restored to health and that God grant them many years.

Continued prayers for Alex's recovery to a state in which he can participate in his family and school life without risk to himself or others.
