I live less than 2 miles from Transfiguration and pass immediately by it two or three times a week, but must confess that I haven't been inside in probably 2 deacades - clearly the time has come for a return visit. It has always been a very beautiful temple but that beauty has clearly now risen to a new level - one of Wow and double Wow, as David and Kolya have said.

Mosaic iconography is indeed magnificent and, as Nataly, notes expensive - which is why one usually only sees it on a small level. This is extraordinary!

Thank you, Rose, for finding this.

Many years,

Neil

Unfortunately there aren't many pictures on the web site, but the interior of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Cathedral [stjosaphatcathedral.com] in Parma, Ohio, is mostly mosaic. Plus there are large mosaics on the front and back of the exterior.

Beautiful! Would the crowned lady saint be St Helen of Constantinople? If so, would it be possible to get a copy of this picture for a book I am writing. Do please contact me in private!

Thank you!
