Amen.

Dear Henri- May God alleviate your fears and allow blessed humility, a gift of the Spirit, to flow through your heart and soul..enabling you to accept that you need help and to be able to receive it.

In Christ,
Alice

Dear Henrikhank,

I pray that you will open your heart for this psychiatric help. I have been on Prozac for many years following a major depressive episode. (Dysthymia runs in my family and so I am somewhat more susceptible to depression.) The right meds will make the difference between night and day. A great opportunity is open to you to offer this suffering to the Lord. I commend to you some gems of scripture from James 4:5-10. "God gives grace to the humble. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you... Humble yourself before the Lord and he will exalt you".

Yes, pride tries to keep us from beneficial meds. Humility and hope are needed. If you like I would be happy to continue this correspondence with you via email at jglennc@Hotmail.com.

May God bless you, brother Henrik. Hope in our Lord Jesus Christ our true God, through the prayers of His Immaculate Mother...who will have mercy and save us for He is good and he loves mankind".

Getting help is not a bad thing, sometimes we just have too.

While Fr. deacon Stan was so ill, and many times it was more than I could handle, I took us to see a psychologist. You know sometimes you can only lay so much on your kids. It was a lot easier for us to talk to her, than it was our kids.

His last time before his passing, he asked to talk with her alone, and I gladly obliged. So it took me a long time to get up the nerve after his passing to ask (not like she was really gonna tell me) what they talked about.

She said he was just telling her that he said he was ready to go home, and all the things he thought about.

You know, I really think he asked her to keep after me. I could swear (and I don't swear) she was asking me questions about how I was doing just like he would have, in the same type of voice smile

All I am sharing with you, is it is OK!

My sincere prayers. Many of us can relate, I'm sure.
