Tomorrow in Edinburgh , subdeacon John will be ordained to the order of Deacon by Kyr Hlib.

As far as we know this is the first ordination to take place in the UGCC in Scotland.

Please keep Fr Deacon-to-be in your prayers

Indeed. We rejoice with this news, and will be praying down in Cardiff.

One minor issue, though: he is going to need a new handle on this forum!

We rejoice that the UGCC in the UK has a new deacon in her midst.

Congratulations, Father Deacon John! I am deeply glad for you and for the Church.

And how, pray, does one open the "Deacon's Door" - I can't find any reference to this forum on byzcath.org?

Aksios and mnogaya i blagaya leta to Fr John!
