Now that's illogical. It's like saying the discovery of the bow and arrow is responsible for insane people killing each other.

I don't know about the Southern Baptist convention, but I doubt the Catholic church has ever said that. I know that the Orthodox have never said that, and I presume that the same historical precedent given by my church is the same as that of the Catholic church.

What disturbs me most about American presidents and foreign policy, is their blatant ignorance of history and the role it plays in the world.

It is very unfortunate that he made such a foolish conclusion and statement.

Alice -- No one should be surprised by anything that Jimmy Carter says. This is a president who claims to be "Christian" and yet supported "abortion rights" and (if I understand correctly) is highly sympathetic to "gay marriage."

UGH!!! Apostates. They leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Ever notice how progressive liberals love to bash main line Christians but will never speak ill of Islam or Chinese Communism and how they treat women.

Good point! I used to think President Carter was the worst president I had ever seen. The current occupant of the White House is causing me to change my mind on that. Maybe President Carter was second worst.
