For the first time in the history of the summer Camping Sessions at Camp Nazareth, the youth camp of ACROD in Mercer, Pa, north of Pittsburgh, the campers will be blessed to witness the ordination of two young men tomorrow, July 18, 2014 at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Sts Cyril and Methodios Church. During the Liturgy, Seminary Graduate Matthew Dutko, of St. Michael's Church in Binghamton, NY will be ordained to the orders of Reader, Sub-deacon and Deacon and Deacon Joseph Birthisel, of Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Johnstown will be ordained to the Holy Priesthood.

May Almighty God strengthen and bless these two young men who will move on to higher service in our beloved Church! Axios!

Why didn't the deacon do the censing before the great entrance?

Nice church. Wonderful event!

I think there will be one posted, it was recorded. I'll be uploading videos to YouTube of parts and I'll place them in a playlist this week.

My video playlist of excerpts from the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of the Ordination of Father Joseph Birthisel and my son, Deacon Matthew Dutko, Friday, July 18, 2014 by His Grace, Bishop Gregory of the ACROD at SS. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Camp Nazareth, Mercer, PA, USA. This memorable event took place during the first week of Diocesan youth camp at Camp Nazareth with over 130 youngsters in attendance, including twenty from Deacon Matthew's home parish of St. Michael in Binghamton, NY. The responses, in the traditional Rusyn chant, were led by Sam Loposky (son of Camp Director Father Stephen Loposky and Pani Daria Drillock Loposky ). Father Joseph and Deacon Matthew are 2014 graduates of Christ the Saviour Seminary in Johnstown, PA.
