It's the third anniversary of the repose of Deacon Stan Cholewinski, a deacon of the Pittsburgh Metropolia who served St George's Melkite Church in Birmingham AL, and who was the beloved spouse of our dear sister and friend, Pani Rose.

In your charity, please remember Deacon Stan, Pani Rose, their children, and grandchildren.

May the memory of the Lord's servant, the Deacon Stanley, be eternal! May Pani Rose and all of their family be comforted in the prayerful expectation of being reunited with him in Heaven.

God's blessings be upon you! Thank you so much.

We will have his anniversary this weekend at Church. smile

For whatever reason when he passed, I cleaned everything of his out of the closets at Church. Wondering what would ever be done, as they would never fit even my grandson. If he decided to enter the deaconate, by that time he'd be 6'5". My hubby was only 5' 10".

Andrew Baroody was ordained sub deacon ( not thinking right term) this past summer. My kids, especially my grandson is so excited because we are taking them all into Andrew this Sunday. It will just be awesome to see them being worn again at the Altar. So excited! Figure doing it now will give them time for alterations or anything needed, so they'll be ready when he's ordained. The only set, I think his white set, is just too worn out to pass on. I hope I'm not bragging. Just really excited! I made the suggestion to the kids and they all thought it was good. My grandson said, 'it's ok mom, I'll give them to him'. He's eight.
